Bear Lake

After all our finals were over with, we found a weekend that we both had off and with Julie's help, were able to go up to Bear Lake at the nort corner of Utah. I was able to get out of class early so we left around four, but earlier bad weather had created bad traffic for most of the way. We got there around eight and settled in. The place we stayed in was bigger than our apartment, and a lot less cluttered. When we woke up Saturday morning it was snowing and we could barely see the lake from our window. After a big, tasty breakfast we decided to drive to Idaho.

Now I can finally say that I've been to Paris (note the population)

And they lived in a shoe...

Got Colin into the birding I learned from my class and we saw some new birds. Here's a flock of Canada Geese being scared by our car (or something else...)

The clear blue water of Bear Lake contrasted beautifully with the yellow grass and snow covered mountains.

The view we couldn't see driving down through the clouds.

He may need a haircut, but he's sure good lookin'.
