Not sleeping

One night Alexander would not go to sleep, so he got to cuddle with mommy and daddy in their big bed. This is how happy he was! (If you click on the picture, you can see his top teeth coming in)

My Birthday!

I had a great birthday and my boys spoiled me well. Alexander's present was to sleep in, which meant that I got to sleep in, it was wonderful! (even though he wouldn't take his naps and the rest of the week was thrown off...) Colin cooked a fabulous dinner, salmon, pasta with a garlic and herb sauce and a Caesar salad. After Xander was down for the night, Colin's family came over (half surprise) and we had French Silk Pie and chocolate cupcakes.

Too Big

My son is getting too big too fast. I'm happy that he's growing well and that he's healthy, but sometimes I wish he'd slow down just a little bit. He now has four teeth, rolls around until he gets where he wants to be and he sits up like a pro.

The Lip

When Alexander is unhappy, he gives us The Lip, and lets us know that he's about to cry. Well, I wanted to take a picture of this but as soon as I got my camera out, he started cheesing. Must be related to Colin...

This is the best I got, and two second later he was cheesing to the camera again...

Just For Fun

Busunge!

He was just sitting on the couch playing with his remote, when he decided that he wanted the burcloth next to him. This is how he ended up.

Me and Xander at Red Robin, where I had some wonderful salmon fich and chips. (Xander slept most of the time there, which was very nice for both me and Colin...)

We're trying to get him used to a bottle and this is the only way Colin could get him to take one.

6 Months

Alexander went in for his 6 month checkup today. He is now 27.5 inches tall (70cm) and 17 lbs (7.7kg). He's a big boy and the doctor thought that it was nice to see someone grow nice and big, he'd been seeing lots of small babies today. Xander also got his shots, he didn't like them but he's doing good now. Here he is on his 6 month birthday with his dad and an ice-fishing pole, which is just the right size for our little guy.
