Wedding

Colin's brother Darrin got married to Felice on May 25th. Like most weddings, there was a lot of things to get done and imagine the added stress when the bride is late for her own wedding... Well, what do you expect on a Friday afternoon on Memorial Weekend.

Here's the happy couple only minutes after they were married.

Colin and Drew up to no good. Darrin didn't seem too upset when he saw the art work we had created on his car, but once he got a look at the streamers and confetti inside the car he didn't seem quite as calm...

Bear Lake

After all our finals were over with, we found a weekend that we both had off and with Julie's help, were able to go up to Bear Lake at the nort corner of Utah. I was able to get out of class early so we left around four, but earlier bad weather had created bad traffic for most of the way. We got there around eight and settled in. The place we stayed in was bigger than our apartment, and a lot less cluttered. When we woke up Saturday morning it was snowing and we could barely see the lake from our window. After a big, tasty breakfast we decided to drive to Idaho.

Got Colin into the birding I learned from my class and we saw some new birds. Here's a flock of Canada Geese being scared by our car (or something else...)

Ricks Spring at Logan Canyon

Southern Utah

My ornithology class went on a one-night field trip down to Lytle Ranch in Southern Utah in order to see some cool birds. We saw a lot on our drive there. such as a Roadrunner and Osprey close up. We didn't see too much at Lytle, but we had a good time, despite the crazy weather.

Visit from Denver

Dad and Shauna came down to visit the family here in Utah a while ago, and even though they didn't pick the best week to come (with field trips and O-chem tests) we spent a good saturday with them. We played both basketball and football in the park. Me and Colin were on opposite teams for the football game, and guess who's team won... Mine. I scored 2 touchdowns thanks to our great Quarterback, the older Colin. After many hours in the sun, we also stopped at the tennsi court where Colin used up all his energy playing some tennis. He looks pretty good doing it, doesn't he?

Springtime Fun

On a beautiful spring day in March, we both happened to have a day off so we hiked up to Maple Lake up Payson Canyon. Colin failed to mention that the majority of the hike would be in snow, but I wore my good hiking shoes.

Colin didn't bring the fishing poles for nothing. Despite the thick layer of ice, he had fun with his fishing pole.

While I took the time to practice my casting, I got quite good at it after a while.
