Birthdays

Trevor's birthday is the day before mine. Kari was giving a talk at church that Sunday so we went down to Payson. I made Trevor a cake for his birthday, it's Gir from Invader Zim.

Colin wants us to get a pink phone after getting a taste of this beauty.

I had a long day at school on my birthday, including a three hour chemlab that I don't always enjoy. I had a good day though. When Colin got off work we got dressed up for dinner. Before we headed out to the Olive Garden, Colin's family came by with a birthday cake for me. No birthday is complete without the cake. It wasn't only filled with pineapple, it also had fresh strawberries on top. Our dinner was delicious, and it ended with cheesecake and singing waiters. It was a great birthday, and my husband did a good job spoiling me.

Christmas

After all the finals were done, we could enjoy our first Christmas together. This beautiful Christmas tree is fake, we figured it's a good investment as long as we're both poor college students. Colin got the colored lights and I got to add tinsel to the tree.

These are our Christmas curtains, all the way from Sweden. Just wanted to show of our wonderfully decorated living room.

I love baking stuff and for some reason I really wanted a bundt pan, and I got one. Santa must really know us well. The blue robe was a Christmas Eve present from my husband.

Thanksgiving

During Thanksgiving weekend me, Colin, Kari and Trevor all squished together in the car and drove through the gorgeous Rocky Mountains and headed towards Denver to visit Colin's dad. It's about an eight hour drive, but it went smoothly, no rain or snow on the way. Besides eating a huge dinner and playing football on Thanksgiving Day, we saw some of the local sights. Below is me and Colin in front of the Denver Bronco, the NFL Football team.

We also went to the candy factory in Denver and got to see how the candy is made. There candy canes are absolutely delicious. This is Colin's brother Ryan, and he seemed to have enjoyed the candy as well.Reminds me of the German kid from Willy Wonka...

"We" were also able to help with the christmas lights, I helped with encouraging words from the ground.

No Denver trip is complete without a mention of Sandy, their golden lab.

Kari's Birthday

We celebrated Kari's birthday (Colin's sister) by eating dinner at Applebees. We had appetizers and we cleared the food off of the plates very fast, almost as if we hadn't seen food before. Julie and Coy were both in Alabama at the time, so me and Colin made sure she had a good birthday. We even embarassed her with waiters singing at the resturant, the good thing about that, you get free dessert. Trevor was also with us, but he was being picture shy at the time.

ROME

I don't know how many of our family members actually got to see pictures from our honey moon to Rome. If you haven't been there, it's a beautiful city with so much to see. We spent 4 days there and still want to go back to everything that we missed.

You need a good map and guide, that way you can learn about all the sites, without paying too much money. After walking around for a few minutes we ended up by a church and lo and behold, it was in our little guide book.
