Xander's First Ice Fishing Trip

Xander got to go on his very fish ice fishing trip this year. I put lots of layers on him before sending him off with his dad.

Xander was the fisherman of the day; he caught the first fish, the biggest fish, and the most fish!

They had a blast and caught lots of fish!

The yellow hat used to be dad's until Xander claimed it as his own. Dad now has a brand new BYU hat instead!

Just Random

Alexander got accepted late into the UPSTART program. It's a home computer based preschool where Alexander has to spend 20 min 5 days a week learning new things. It's been amazing and he's learned so much already. He's reading on a 1st grade level and is starting to write words and even stories himself. He recently taught Sophia how to use the mouse and now she does her "homework" as well.

Included with my camera was a free camera class where I learned a lot about how to use it and how to take pictures. So the next day, after dropping Xander off at a friends house for school, Sophia and I went out and took pictures.

Just being silly!

Xander's valentines we made for his friends.

30th Birthday and New Camera!

I turned 30 during the first month of the year and was surprised with a new Nikon camera from my family. The kids and Colin made me a yummy cake and then Colin took me out for a Birthday date with dinner at Chef's Table and Phantom of the Opera at BYU. It was a great night with wonderful food and an amazing performance. So here are some of the first pictures from my new camera, which I'm still learning how to use!

Me and my hubby after our date!

Sophia wanted me to take a picture of her cereal.

Handsome boy!
