Christmas

We had a busy Christmas Day. We woke up and looked through our stockings at all the yummy candy and other fun things Santa had brought for us. Then we got ready and headed over to Julie's house. There we had breakfast before the present opening started.

Trevor got exactly what he wanted, the boxed set of the original Star Wars movies.

Julie got a nice blender from her youngest... And I got to try some tasty smoothies made in it a few weeks later.

Bailey in her Christmas dress.

After Christmas morning with that half of the family, we went to celebrate Christmas with Colin's dad. Finally, around five in the afternoon, we got home and were able to open presents together, just the two of us.

I wasn't planning on matching, but I got those lady bug pajama pants from Kari, she made them herself and I love them. I also love opening presents...

Colin got a pretty hammer, something that apparently every man needs in his toolbox. (I don't know why he doesn't like my pink hammer... maybe it's not manly enough)

Colin's favorite present, after some minor adjustments later in the store, a new basketball.

Me with my favorite present, which was a combined Christmas and birthday present; the entire Little House series!

Spencer Family Christmas Party

My husband's mom comes from a big family, and every year they get together for a family christmas party. We had a good time and announced that we were expecting a baby. The first great grandchild was little Bailey, the second is due any moment and the third will be our lil' cougar.

Lucia

One of the many great things about having lots of relatives, and especially Swedish ones, here in Utah is that I still get a chance to experience some Swedish traditions. Annebel and her family gets together every year for a Lucia party and it's so much fun. Here are a few pictures from that.

The girls are all getting pretty in their
white dresses/shirts/blessing gowns.

Shelby didn't like the crown on her head
but she seemed to love lussekatter.

Danielle cheesing for the camera.

Allie must have been the one who taught her
younger sister how to cheese in front of the camera.
