Last month I started taking a cake decorating class and it is so much fun that I even signed up for the next one. Here are a few of the things that I learned.

Yes, I made the rose on that cake all by myself. I might have gotten a little carried away with the sweet peas and leaves but hey, I had fun making it!
January is a great month for birthdays, Trevor's is just the day before mine so there was a lot of celebration going on that week. On Monday, the 21st, we went over to Julie's house for dinner and we brought this beautiful cake for Trevor.
After dinner we played some games and had a good time. The following day it was my turn. Colin came home and we had an early dinner at TGIF. I even splurged and had a steak but the best part was the dessert, rich chocolate mousse with different flavors in small shot glasses, it was heavenly! Later that night Colin's family came over and brought me a cake and we played some games and had a good time. It's not every week you get to celebrate two birthdays!
